Summer Holiday Fun Ideas

First, download and save this PDF file with all 10 activities.

That way, you can use it every year around Summertime.

Then, print it out in color. I am going to remind you that you need to print the 3-part cards twice.

I only included one copy of the 3-part cards to save you in file size.

Then, get your bundle ready.

Let me list out in detail everything that is included in the bundle.

Kids will love these! Take them to a local park to do them or do them in your living room simply to celebrate Summer or in preparation to take them to the beach.

Summer Montessori Activities

1. 2 Beach words manuscript D’Nelean handwriting practice pages – Children will enjoy to practice their handwriting skills with the beautiful Montessori font the is mostly used. It is great to practice fine motor skills.
2. Beach words cursive 2 handwriting practice pages – These are the same beach vocabulary words as the manuscript handwriting practice pages, but it will be the perfect Step 2 for after the manuscript pages.
3. Fun beach dice game with 4 game boards and 3 dice – Cut out the 3 dice and use a little bit of glue to set them up. Then, each player will get a playing board. Pick one die to roll. Put a marker on the board on the beach image that the die landed on. The person that fills up their playing board wins! If you want to make it shorter, you can set it up that the first person to cover 5 images wins and so forth. It is one of the fun games to do in the summer with your children!
4. 2 Beach Notebooking Pages – These are two pages for children to use to write about the trip to the beach or to do research about the beach. They can recount fun activities that they did at the beach or anything they want to that relates to the beach and Summer.
5. 20 Beach vocabulary 3-part cards set – Don’t forget to print this set twice! The first page of the printable set has a link to the tutorial on how to use 3-part cards, in case you don’t know how to use them.
6. Foldable beach booklet – This comes with beach sentences using the new beach words. It is great for life skills so children learn about things to do at the beach. For the instructions on how to put it together, simply got to thenaturalhomeschool.com and search for “booklet tutorial” and you will find the video that shows you how to set it up. It is easy, but seeing it actually makes it simpler.
7. 9 awesome beach themed cutting practice pages – It includes 3 pages to practice straight lines, big wavy lines, tighter wavy lines, 3 pages to practice cutting large zigzag, tight zigzag, and 3 pages to practice cutting triangle, square, spiral, circle and heart shapes.
8. 3 beach words wheels – All you need are scissors to to cut out the inner and outer wheels (don’t forget to also cut the grey areas in the outer wheels) and then use 3 brads to hold each inner and outer wheel set. The children will learn beach vocabulary words as they turn the wheels to show one image and how it is spelled at a time. Use these just as a review or to have children copy the words and maybe even draw the pictures as they learn beach words.
9. 3 beach words iSpy search pages – Look at the images at the bottom half, count how many of each are in the collage on the top half and then write down the number next to each on the line.
10. Memory Game with beach pictures – You also need to print twice to play the matching game. You can also use these as part of a beach scavenger hunt when you do go to the beach! Use these for many activities and games!
